How was Your Weekend?

Mine was EPIC…  Often times as a single parent of 2 teenagers, I get caught up in being transportation to and from basketball, cheering, band, and dance classes.  Well this weekend I had the opportunity to enjoy some me time with my friends while celebrating a birthday.

I think it is so necessary to get some time to myself.  I find that if I don’t my life gets somewhat consumed with just parenting.  Being able to enjoy time away from the kids allows me to let off some steam and let my hair down a little.  I think it helps a little that both of my daughters are teenagers.  They actually had a babysitting job while I was out and made a few dollars in the process.  I would classify that as a WIN WIN situation…

I do know making time for yourself is hard because we as mother’s parents love unselfishly.  It is okay but I find that for me I have to allot some time for myself to be an adult.
