Getting Vacation Ready
In just a little over a month my friends (old and new) and I will be vacationing together in Miami. This travel is much needed coming off of a new to high school year with my youngest daughter and a senior year with my oldest. The last 10 months have been super stressful and busy. Between dance classes, marching band, and education I have really been stretched thin. So I am looking forward to spending 5 days in sunny Miami Beach doing what I want to do.
A thought that is lingering is not waiting until the last minute to purchase items for my trip and pack. I figured I will use this trip to try and start being more proactive instead of procrastinating. For this trip in order for me to be vacation ready, I first need to find the right swimsuits. I mean I have some swimsuits I have had for many many many years and may not (I am not claiming this) fit the way they fit when I purchased them. My goal is to purchase at least 3 swim suits which will compliment my body with the extra fluff in the mid section. I am striving for sexy though. I mean, I am single and my beau just might be waiting for me in Miami.
Another thing that is “helping” me become vacation ready is me joining DietBet. I follow a Youtuber Jenelle B. Stewart on several social media outlets and she has a game “Summer Slim Down” going from May 24th – June 24th. This helps because the pot is around $2800, which is an incentive for losing the goal weight. I am really excited about this.
I will be traveling with 5 other ladies and it reminded me of an article I read from the Brooklyn Travel Addict “How to Plan a Girls Getaway”. She talks about the different types of friends that you “have to have” on a girls getaway. They are the organizer, turnt up Tammy, the Chaperone, and the Historian. We definitely have a mixture of personalities that fit the bill of every persona described in that article.
SAVE SAVE SAVE… The last thing on my list to do is to save some extra cash for spending while away. One thing I love to do is shop and eat. So I need to have enough money on hand where I can do both and not have to worry about the bills not getting paid. I have a little nest egg put away for vacation so I should be good. Hopefully not to overspend too much which I am gone.
In the upcoming weeks I want to share with you my journey in finding the right swimsuits though. I am in the process of purchasing a few and I will share how I finalize my decision on a swimsuit. You can check out my store to see some of the options I am planning. If you like go ahead and purchase.
